An eccentric screw is used to adjust the suspension alignment in your vehicle by changing the angle that the spindle sits. This is accomplished by the secured plate on the head of the screw, so that when the eccentric bolt is turned it pushes against the control arm to allow a different angle to be set on the spindle.
