Clogged or dirty cabin air filters can significantly reduce airflow from the cabin vents, as well as introduce allergens into the cabin air stream. By filtering out dust and dirt, those contaminants don't make it into your HVAC system, making everything work easier and cleaner.  This filter is located in the fresh air intake, beneath the windshield cowl under the trunk lid.

When replacing your cabin air filter, also consider changing out your air and oil filters as well.
