TCU TUNE OR PATCH REQUIRED

 

Once tuned, massive horsepower and torque gains are seen throughout the entire powerband that exceed the torque limitations of the stock transmission tune and limits power output. To solve this, a matching transmission TCU Patch (included) or TCU Tune (sold separately) is required.

 

TCU Patch

 

IE's calibrators have written a free software patch for the factory transmission control unit (TCU) that raises the torque limits of the AL552 ZF8 automatic transmission to allowing the power gains from IE Tunes. This patch fully realizes all available performance from the IE ECU Stages while keeping all transmission driving characteristics otherwise stock. This TCU patch is a simple installation using the POWERlink cable and is included with all B9 S4 & S5 ECU calibrations at no extra charge.

IE's complete AL552 ZF8 Tune is a fully rounded performance calibration for your automatic transmission that not only raises the torque limits for ECU tunes, but also delivers faster shifts, optimized shift points, multiple launch control modes, and enthusiast drive mapping. When paired with an ECU tune, acceleration and launch times will greatly improve transforming every driving aspect of your B9 3.0T into a well rounded turbocharged monster.

 

 

 

 

Direct Port:

The IE POWERlink is a powerful direct-port tool that plugs directly into your vehicle's OBD-2 terminal. This grants instant access to flash and upgrade tune stages, switch fuel octanes, turn on/off features, flash back to stock, perform engine diagnostics, and record logs with the built-in data logger from the comfort of your own driveway.

 

 

Octane Switching:

All IE B9 S4 & S5 3.0T stages include multiple octane options. Using your IE Powerlink, you can easily switch between calibrations for different fuels and unlock different power levels. Depending on the Stage, choose from 91, 93, and ethanol octanes.

 

Upgrade Stages:

 

Upgrading from Stage 1 to Stage 2 or beyond is easy! With IE, you only pay the difference in tune cost with no extra fees. When you install the required matching hardware, simply follow the link on your IE POWERlink software to purchase the tune upgrade and you will be blowing away the competition in minutes!

 

Toggle Features:

 

Simply plug-your IE POWERlink to quickly turn on optional features. The process is the same as adding a tune and can be turned off just as easily.

 

Code Reader:
