MST Mercedes Benz C43 V2 Cold Air Intake System

The C43 intake system we released last year has been one of our bestsellers this past year. So recently, we released a more complete version for the C43 intake.

The V2 has additional inlet pipes & its own exclusive adapter. Comparing to factory pipes, MST provides larger caliber pipes to increase the airflow. Better throttle and accelerator response & more distinct turbo valve sounds.

The inlet pipes and adapters for the V2 are only adaptable with our MST C43 intake.

For owners who already have the MST C43 intake, we provide the option for you to separately purchase the inlet pipes & adapters to upgrade your MST C43intake.

Needs work! I’d actually rate this 3.5 if I could.

Firstly, let me start off by saying that I am not an impulse buyer. I do my research thoroughly and make decisions based off of facts. I have a 2018 GLC43 AMG and I was looking to add a bit more umph to it. I installed a Racechip piggyback and thought why not get more air into it while I’m at it right. Seeing as how the piggyback increases boost, I thought it would be a good idea to increase the air into the turbo as well. I did a ton of research mostly all leading down the same road. That road being, the OEM intake is likely better than any aftermarket. However, I read a lot into them, bought DEI gold heat reflection tape and thought I’d giver a go. First off, I was surprised at the quality of the system. I didn’t expect that for $900 I’d have to assemble the boxes. But that’s neither here nor there… I really liked the integrated look of their first edition utilizing the intake snorkels etc from the stock OEM system. I was also happy to read that their new V2 system took some heat soak issues into account and increased the size of the air tube feeding the turbo. What I think is a sad and a grossly overlooked design flaw is with the new intake tubes, there is no connection grommets for the beauty cover as all the grommets were part of the old air intake system. Unlike other intakes out there, you don’t need to cut your cover for this system, however, my freaking Mercedes has Zap straps holding my beauty cover to my engine. Shame on you MST, very sad you’d find this acceptable to go to market with. Second, I don’t notice any power gain, but I also don’t notice any decrease. The engine sounds a bit more aggressive, and the turbo diverter valve is not nearly as annoying as I had anticipated. There’s definitely more noises to get used to as all the sound dampening equipment was removed with the old intake. Overall, I like the exhaust tone, and the turbo blow offs, but would suggest perhaps save your $900 for V3 where maybe they’ll get the design right. I have no comment on heat soak other than I ran the car extremely hard for about 30 mins. Opened the hood immediately and was able to rest my hand on the intake boxes no problem. The gold tape very much helped.
