Description

NEUSPEED since 1975, nobody comes close to our record of industry-first aftermarket products for VW/Audi vehicles; we set the industry standards for design, innovation, quality of materials, fit, finish, and attention to detail.

NEUSPEED's very first strut tie-bar, was manufactured in 1975 for VW Rabbit & Scirocco.

NEUSPEED’s Upper Strut Tie-Bar is designed to reinforce the already stellar VAG MQB/MQBevo chassis. Installation reduces fore and aft, as well as side-to-side chassis flex during spirited driving, which helps to eliminate unwanted geometry/alignment changes. This results in better steering response and better handling.

The crossbar is a one-piece construction machined from solid 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum using our state-of-the-art multi-axis CNC machines.

With the help of the latest and greatest 3D scanning technology, we were able to design and engineer this unit outside the cowl cover compartment and inside the engine bay, resulting in a straight-across design for a rigid chassis connection. No odd torsion angles.

Not only is this something you can feel, but also something you can see! Our engineering team made extra efforts to ensure this was a piece of your car's puzzle that you'll be able to show off!

The cross-bar is designed with oval mounting holes to compensate for manufacturing and assembly tolerances. Beyond these tolerances, if your car has been damaged where the strut tower alignment may be off, for more than what our bar can compensate for, then this may not be the solution for you.

The job of the strut bar is to brace the strut towers. You don't need pre-load to do this. Simply a very stable, stronghold to transfer load and keep the body solid. Pre-loading is only going to put the towers under unwanted stress all the time. There is more force pulling the opposite tower than forcing outward on the tower under the cornering load. This was confirmed by measuring the actual load on the bar. It should fit snugly and tight on the towers while your car is on level ground.

The car sits level and naturally, even during assembly. Pre-loading the bar could affect camber geometry slightly. This kit is recommended to be installed when the car is in its natural, on-ground position.
