Description:
These monoball top mounts replace the compliant factory rubber bushing with a precision Teflon-lined spherical bearing for quicker steering and shock response, and increased suspension precision resulting in better handling. The spherical bearing is made to our specific specifications, and will not wear out and rattle like others on the market. The housing is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet, providing high strength, light weight, and a perfect match to the factory mounting surface. The spherical bearing is securely clamped into the billet housing. Other designs use a small retainer ring to trap the bearing in a bore, which tend to cause annoying rattling and possible failure.

Available in two styles, domed and flat.  The domed style is designed to replace the OEM mount and is compatible with any strut designed for use with the OEM mount.  This would include Bilstein and KW among others.  The spring load is distributed on the housing, not the monoball, for increased monoball life. These are the only upper mounts on the market that are fully compatible with all factory and aftermarket style upper spring seats.  The flat mounts are designed for use with race style struts that are intended to be used with a flat mount.  This would include JRZ, Moton, MCS, and AST among others.  Note that the two are not interchangeable.  Please consult Tarett Engineering if you are unsure which is appropriate for your application.
