The MAP sensor, or manifold absolute pressure sensor, works with the engine computer to set the fuel curve and give readings to the engine computer. If yours is faulty, it may cause improper running, rich or lean fuel curves, or other general performance issues. Replace yours with a unit from Genuine VW/Audi.
