This mount allows you to secure the rear shock to the body of your Audi. If this piece has broken, bent, or become damaged, it could cause premature failure of the rear shock and possibly other suspension components, if let go long enough. Inspect these mounts when replacing your rear shocks to ensure that your suspension is in top shape.
