MK7/7.5 Street Shield Reinforcement Kit

Worried about the plastic fender liners taking the brunt of extreme impacts with your ECS Street Shield? Want extra protection for serious rugged terrain? Look no further! The Engineering Team at ECS Tuning have developed sturdy impact-resistant braces that carry added impact capacity over the plastic fender liners for those in need of serious protection. 

The Street Shield Reinforcement Kit bolts directly to the back of the crash beam and then directly to the ECS Street Shield Skid Plate for all metal mounting points. No drilling*, no cutting required, just simple direct-fit, rugged protection!

PART DESIGN

• Vertical supports feature beefy 1.25” DOM tubing with .095” wall thickness

• Extra support provided by a front impact brace with 1.0” DOM tubing with .095” wall thickness

• All joints are professionally TIG welded and black powdercoated for corrosion protection 

• Made to be structurally rigid in the event of impacts to not bend or deflect

• 24lbs total weight with braces, Street Shield and hardware

• 1.25" DOM Tubing Street Shield Vertical Support Braces (Left and Right)

• 1.0" DOM Tubing Street Shield Horizontal Impact Brace

• Class 10.9 coated steel side mounting bolts

• Coated high strength securing nuts 

• Stainless button screws to replace OE fender liner torx bolts 

FEATURES

• With the ECS Street Shield Reinforcement Kit installed you gain added protection by reinforcing the ECS Street Shield Skid Plate with beefy 1.25" DOM vertical tubing and 1.0" DOM front tubing for extra bracing. 

• If you drive in uncertain terrain and there is no margin of error in deflection with the OEM plastic fender liners then this is the added protection you have been waiting for!

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Our ECS Street Shield Reinforcement Kit was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We ensured the highest level of precision and quality is delivered throughout rigorous long term product testing and leading edge product development methods.

• *Customers with early version of ECS Street Shields without front mounting holes will need to drill the skid plate where noted in our Installation PDF in order to bolt on the front impact brace. It can be ran without this hardware, though we recommend the complete threaded installation for intended protection.
